Operation Engineer
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure all production activities comply with applicable standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Develop, review, and qualify machine shop products, including machining procedures and manufacturing plans.
- Conduct in-process inspections and maintain accurate machining documentation, records, and operational logs.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and delivery requirements.
- Support the QA/QC department during audits, inspections, and client approval processes.
- Provide technical support to workshop teams, resolve production issues, and ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to optimize processes and improve product reliability.
- Review project requirements, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to workflow enhancement and equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- From 1 to 3 years of experience in the same field .
- Strong knowledge of global quality and industry standards including:
- ISO, ISO 9001, API Q1, API 6A, API 16A, API 5CT, API 7-1.
- Experience with machining and welding processes; hands-on familiarity with WPS, PQR, and WPQ is a strong advantage.
- Good understanding of workshop practices, manufacturing technologies, and production workflows.
- Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead teams, supervise workshop activities, and manage time effectively.
