General Accountant
  • Preparing financial analyses and reports.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
  • General ledger preparation.
  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
  • Follow up on Accounts receivable and payments.
  • Checking late payments, accounts and sending reminders.
  • Assist in preparing the taxation reports.
  • Participate with the chief accountant in the semi-annual & annual closures.
  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
  • Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise.
  • Follow up vendor accounts.
  • BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum 5 yrs. of experience.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages and ERP systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Awareness of business trends.
